About the event
The McGill Symphony Orchestra opens its 2026–2027 season with a powerful program spanning the Classical, Contemporary, and Romantic repertoire.
The evening begins with Beethoven's dramatic Fidelio Overture, followed by Jennifer Higdon's vibrant Percussion Concerto, featuring Meagan Foster, winner of the McGill Concerto Competition.
The concert concludes with one of the great milestones of the symphonic repertoire: Brahms' Symphony No. 1, a monumental work of passion, strength, and triumph.
