Leonard Bernstein Stipend for participating at the Tanglewood Summer Festival, and
Koussevitzky Memorial Conducting Prize and the Eleanor Crane Prize awarded by Seiji Ozawa and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
1977
Prize Winner at the First International Hans Swarowsky Competition in Vienna.

Award of Merit by the Canadian Performing Rights Organization for the
programming of contemporary music.
2005
Prix Opus "Événement musical de l'année" by the Conseil québécois de la musique (for the performances of the Canadian national opera “Louis Riel” by Harry Somers at the Theatre Maisonneuve, Place des Arts, Montréal)
2022
“Medal of Honor in Gold for services to the Republic of Austria”, awarded by Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen.
The “Alexis Hauser Fund for Advanced Musical Study in Austria” for music students of the McGill University during the summer months was generously established by Montreal Philanthropist Elizabeth Wirth.
